Happy Halloween

Trick-or-treat (that's my dad giving the kids their first pieces of candy)
My mom and I took the boys all over her neighborhood.
Gavin was the pot of "hunny" and
Reily was Pooh Bear

The Candy

Stuffing of the faces

Contentment
Reily doesn't like candy at all...can you tell?
Still young enough to want to share with daddy

Duckies

Gavin loves ducks. This past weekend, we were at a wedding in the Cities and the hotel where the reception was held had these ducks INSIDE their lobby in various "ponds". Gavin loved it. I'm pretty sure he's not supposed to be in there chasing them, but what Gavin wants, Gavin gets--at least from his Grandpa.

Big Boys

Reily's not quite ready to eat at the table all the time, but he's getting there.

Not so Afraid Anymore

Now Gavin seems to think it's fun to wear a mask. Maybe there's hope for a fun Halloween yet.

Buckethead

I guess if you're two, it seems like a fun idea to put a bucket on your face or head.

What a Difference a Day Makes...

Twenty-four little hours before we took this picture, Reily had NO idea how to use a sippy cup. He's getting so big.

My Cute Little Elephant

Reily doesn't mind the mask, but Gavin is terrified of them. Halloween should be tons of fun...

Pumpkin Patch

Recently, we went back to Rice Lake to visit favorite places and people. Our favorite place to visit in the Fall is the pumpkin patch. There are lots of pumpkins, of course, a wagon ride, corn mazes, a petting zoo and the best caramel apples ever. We enjoyed it all and it was a beautiful day to be outdoors.

The Petting Zoo

Nice horsey
Gavin's favorite...the bubby (toddler speak for bunny)
Feeding the goat some of the corn Gavin insisted on picking up from the ground while walking through the corn maze--he tried to pick up EVERY piece he saw. It sure is a good thing there aren't many pieces of corn on the ground of a corn maze...
What is that?
This cow came over to see Gavin and seemed to be looking for something. Gavin got really excited when he realized he knew what to do. He squealed, reached into his pocket, pulled out some more corn and fed the little cow.
Reily had no idea the bunny was on his lap.
He did notice the horse though.
The hay was the most fun.

The Friends

While we were in Rice Lake, we stayed with our friends Nathan and Amy. Their little boy, Hunter, is just a little younger than Gavin. The boys had fun fighting over the favorite toys!
Gavin was sharing his corn with Hunter. It's amazing what kids find entertaining.

A much better kind of "corn" to share.
