One of the first things we'll be doing in the New Year is attending Ben and Kirsten's wedding. No, they won't be wearing the tissue paper hats that day.
We had a couple of fairly warm days this week. I went out and bought a sled while Chris got the kids ready. At least one kid was crying the entire time he was getting them ready--they just took turns between them--and it continued as we had "fun" in the snow. Oh well, it makes for some cute pictures--as long as you don't zoom in on their faces.
Can anyone guess what the special gift was from my dad this year??? Packer gear--though he did stoop so low as to get Chris a Vikings sweatshirt instead, knowing that a Packer one would have been a waste of money. Fortunately, he didn't find a Packer sweatshirt he thought I'd like (such an item does not exist).
Gavin loved his outfit so much that he wore it the rest of the day OVER his other clothes. Then, we decided he could wear it the next day--without another outfit underneath it, since it wasn't really dirty. The day after that, he pulled it out of the dirty clothes and insisted on wearing it AGAIN. We helped him find something a little fresher. I'm not sure if he loves the outfit that much or just the man it came from!

We started a new tradition this year (we stole the idea from Georgie). On Christmas Eve, we each get a new pair of pjs to wear on Christmas Eve and as we open gifts Christmas morning. The boys enjoyed it this year. Gavin was very proud to show off his new jammies to our company last night!
My family always visits the 8th floor of Macy's. This year, Chris' sister, Kelly, and her little girl came with!

Gavin LOVED riding up and down on the escalators. Everyone took turns taking him up and down while we waited for lunch.
Roth came and visited a few days before Christmas. As always, it was wonderful to see him. I think Gavin enjoys his visits most of all.
Gavin has gotten REALLY in to stuffed animals lately. He has an entire zoo that accompanies him to bed each night. He names them all, picks them up and carries them to bed. In the morning, he stands at his door with them all in his arms.
If you think that kids who climb into their own wardrobe are clever (Brad & Geo), you should watch my son climb under the kitchen sink--where we keep the garbage. Okay, so maybe it's not clever, but he sure thinks it's fun.
I knew that I was a good mommy when I saw my son being a good "mommy" to his puppy. His puppy was cold, so Gavin got a blanket and wrapped him up in it--that's what he's holding.
Gavin insisted on wearing the Christmas stockings. I guess they look like socks, so why not?
Gavin is full of expressions. Here, you can see a little display of a few of them. I took all of these pictures within three minutes. He's a goof ball...

One of Gavin's favorite new words is "ham". That he is! I opened the camera to take a picture of his brother and this is what appeared on the screen. He hears that thing from the other end of the house.
