Sudan Walk-a-thon

Our church held a walk-a-thon for literacy in Sudan, largely organized by my mom. We had a great turn out with over 150 walkers and over $8000 raised.

The boys got to ride in the wagon the whole time.

Gavin insisted on wearing my shirt. He was the cutest one there, at least in my opinion!

Minneapolis

Recently, we spent a weekend in the Twin Cities with our friends, Preston and Aimee. It was a very full, very fun weekend. We had a great time showing them around our old stomping grounds. Oh, the kids stayed home with Grandma!

The snow is all gone, so we've been enjoying the outdoors more. The boys are loving all the wagon rides and riding behind daddy's bike in this little contraption. Gavin being Gavin.

Mt friend, Cynthia, and her foster daughter visited recently. It happened to be Cynthia's birthday, so we went out for dinner--that's the reason for the hat.

APRIL 12th!!!

I took this picture from our sun room TODAY! Talk about depressing... All of this appeared yesterday. Before that, it was almost all gone. I think we're skipping spring this year.

More Random Pics

Today, there was a family fun fest in town. Chris helped Gavin make this little wagon at one of the booths. The boys recently got new sunglasses.
Gavin put them on himself this time!

Arkansas

Reily and I flew down to Arkansas to visit my best friend, McKenya, and her family this week. Her little boy, Daxton, is only three months older than Reily. The boys had lots of fun together and so did McKenya, Aislynn (her two week old baby) and I. It was great to see old friends, especially since it was 65 and sunny a couple of the days that we were there.

This is a picture of Reily on the flight back to WI. He did great on both flights, but especially the return once since he slept. All three kids crowded in the back of McKenya's car. You can't see Aislynn, but she's back there, too.
What a beautiful baby girl.
Fun at the park on a warm, sunny day.

More pictures from the park.Auntie McKenya helped Reily climb all the way up the slide--the wrong way!

He figured out how to go down on his own. He is so adventurous. Unfortunately, he has the bruises to prove it.
Big boys eating at the table. They didn't stay put for very long. They didn't stay put in here for very long either. In fact, by the time I got them to the doors of the store, Daxton was already trying to figure out how to get out of the cart. Three babies kept both moms VERY busy.
Reily was trying to calm Aislynn down. She was fussing, he was holding her hand and bouncing the seat. He did pretty well with her--no babies in his near future, though, so don't get any ideas.
Aislynn is a VERY good baby and so precious. I felt very lucky to get to meet her so soon and spend so much time with her.

The three cousins (from a recent visit to Chris' dad's house). Reily, Gavin and Kacey.
The beloved puppy...this is his favorite stuffed animal and goes nearly every where with us.
Reily is starting to eat at the table with Gavin. He's getting so big.
Silly boys.
On our latest car trip, the boys just started giggling. I looked back to see what was so funny and this was what I saw! They were both reaching as far as they could to hold hands. I wish they'd always like each other that much.

New Trick & Silly Hat

Reily's favorite new trick is climbing up on his little chair and flipping the light switch over and over again. He hasn't cracked his head open yet, but I'm sure it's only a matter of time before he does.
Reily found this little make-up bag some where in the house and decided to wear it.
Once Gavin saw me taking a picture of Reily with the "hat" on, he had to wear it and get his picture taken, too.
