Jealous?

I know that Gavin looks cute in the garden, but I am mainly posting these pictures to make a few special people in my life a little jealous of my flowers. The best part is that I didn't do any of the work to get all of these flowers to grow! Eat your hearts out.

My Two Boys

I like to lay on the floor to play with Reily once in a while. Gavin, recently, has decided that he needs to join in. He's such a little attention stealer. Oh, the paci is now in the garbage. Gavin was only supposed to have it at naps and bedtime, but kept going into his room to get it during the day. I was not happy about this, so it's gone!

Get DOWN!

Gavin now loves to stand on the back of the couch. He's so quiet when he's getting up there, but then he lets out this little giggle when he's up there. To get down, he just slides down onto the couch. Of course, his favorite time to do this is when I'm feeding Reily so that I can't react. No injuries...yet.

Two Fingers???

Gavin is really into pointing out all his facial features and calling them by name. I'd never seen him pull this one before--apparently both fingers needed to point out his nose!

Trailer Ride

Chris was loading the trailer full of debris from our yard and Gavin thought it would be a fun place to sit. Then, he started chewing on a leaf. Toddlers...

Out for a Ride

My dad needed our Jeep for a day, so he let us use the convertible. You can't park a convertible in a girl's driveway on a sunny day and expect her not to take it out for a ride! I put the windows up for Gavin's sake. He said wheeeee, a lot.

Mommy's Shoes

Daddy's shoes are huge and weigh about 5 pounds each, so Gavin likes to walk around in mommy's shoes. He's a silly one!

My Sweet Dera

Dera got to come and visit a week, or so, ago. He couldn't believe that Gavin was walking and talking already. He had a lot of fun playing with Gavin and Gavin enjoyed having Dera to play with, too.

There is still no family for Dera--he is living in a group home. We hadn't seen him since September! The visit went well. It definitely did me a lot of good to see him and to give him a great big hug. The visit seems to have helped him, as well. Now, we're all just hoping they'll find a family for him very soon.

Me

I don't post many pictures of myself, since I'm usually the one taking them. Chris' sister snapped this one on Easter, so I figured I could post it!

Playing with a Toy

Reily is finally playing with a toy. I don't know what's up with the look on his face, though.

My Big Boy

Gavin likes to eat at his own table these days. He's such a big boy.

Clear Spaghetti Sauce

Seriously, I'm going to start working on a clear spaghetti sauce. I think I could make a fortune off all the moms who have a picture (or 12) like this.

Identical Cousins

Maybe they don't look the same, but they do share the same birthday! Kacey was looking at her mom and Reily was looking at me when we took this first picture. Then, Kacey started pestering Reily. We broke it up eventually, but I think she'll be able to hold her own, with her two boy cousins, in the future.

Chris' Family

We spent Easter with Chris' family. His sister Katie is holding Kacey. Kelly's on the left (Kacey's mom), Rose is in the middle, and Chris' mom, Roz, is on the right.

Hunting for Eggs

My parents hid eggs all over our living room and dining room for Gavin to find. He had a lot of fun, especially once he discovered that there were a few jelly beans inside each egg.

Spaghetti Face II

Well, not spaghetti exactly, but this is what happens when you give a sleepy toddler lasagna. He ate a lot, but apparently, even more wound up on his face.

Mr. Potato Head?

Gavin loves the Mr. Potato Head glasses. He insisted that I put them on Reily the other day. Reily was a good sport about it.

Toddler Days

Gavin is such a toddler. He's in to climbing on everything. I was sitting at my computer and glanced over to see what he was doing and he was on top of his lego box. Then, I spotted him on top of our ottoman (in the corner). Of course, being the kind of mom I am, I just let him climb. About one second after I took this second picture, he fell off. Tears followed, but once he was done with that, he was right back at it!

First Day of Spring

The first day of spring was a while ago--not that you'd know it if you went outside today--but, my boys were ready in their matching shirts! Aren't they cute???

Daxton

McKenya and Daxton came for a visit today. We were very busy with three little boys, but we found a couple of moments to snap a few pictures.

Brothers

I got some great shots of Reily and Gavin, yesterday. They were both absolutely wonderful all day long. I even had an entire hour all to myself when they were BOTH napping!

Too Rough

Quite often when Gavin goes from sitting to standing, he uses Reily to stabilize himself by pushing off of him. Reily never makes a peep.

Just Reily

Reily is now about 4 1/2 months old. He smiles all the time and is a great baby. He's just about sleeping through the night. He's such a joy.

Jealousy???

I know that "they" say kids Gavin's age can't feel true jealousy, but lately, whenever I pay attention to Reily, Gavin has to get in between us. He'll do anything cute to steal the attention I'm giving Reily. Here, he tried to sit on him to block my view. If he can't get in between us, he'll start dancing--even though there's no music--or offer me kisses. Poor Reily!

Kisses

Gavin likes to give lots of kisses to his baby. Unfortunately, it often ends up looking more like Gavin is trying to smother Reily. Hmmmm...

Last Saturday

Roth's current foster family had to attend an adoption class this past Saturday. Being that we live only 1/2 an hour away from them, they asked us if we'd watch Roth on Saturday. We were happy to. As you can see, Gavin made him feel like he was still a part of the family immediately.

Reily's Room

This past weekend, we were able to get the living room/dining room painted and Reily's room painted (with paid help, of course). I have no idea when we'll get the rest done, but one day...

Gavin was napping in his room when I snapped these, our room is impossible to photograph well and I don't have furniture for the sunroom, yet. So, I guess you'll just have to come visit to see those rooms!

Play Mat

Reily loves his little play mat, now that he's finally able to use it. It was a little too crowded at our last house--I was afraid Gavin would never leave Reily alone. In this house there is plenty of room for everyone.

Gavin, NO!

Gavin is not supposed to touch the computer, but I caught him messing around with the printer anyway. Of course, any time I say, "No", he repeats it at least a dozen times while shaking his finger and head. He is officially a toddler.

Bumbo Big Boy

Works for big boys, too. Gavin insists on sitting in the Bumbo, occasionally. I love using it when it's time to cut finger nails and toe nails--he can't escape!

Nice Picture

We were just trying to get a nice picture of me with my two boys, but Gavin decided to lunge for Reily. Of course, he lunged at him to kiss him!

Sleepy Gramps

Gavin just had to pick on his sleepy Gramps. Poor Grandpa.

New House

Well, we are in the new house. I probably love it the most. Reily couldn't really care less. Gavin's not so sure about his room, or his big boy bed, but seems like like roaming around during the day. We have all of the boxes on the main floor unpacked, so we are fully functional. Don't ask to see my basement any time soon, though.

Anyway, since we're in, come on over! We'd love to have some company. Oh yeah, we were able to keep our same email address, no changes there.

Bumbo Baby

Reily loves his Bumbo, for about 10 minutes!

Thumb sucker

Ladies and gentlemen, we have a thumb sucker. I tried, but it keeps him so happy (and quiet), that I have to admit, I didn't try too hard to keep it from him! Oh well, we'll have that fight in another year or so.
